It that important time of year again! Homestead Exemption is VERY important if you purchased a home in 2020. You will need to file in person by March 1, 2021, or prior. It only takes about 10 minutes and requires an appointment. There is also portability which allows you to take a portion of your exemption on your prior property and move it to your new property, therefore saving you money. Ask if this applies to you. This will reduce your annual taxes. This does not apply to investment property. Yes, I will continue to bother past customers…..this will save you $$$$$.
